A.S.P provides services to some of the largest airports in Canada and has a significant presence in the Commercial and Residential spaces in Ontario.The HR Business Partner plays a pivotal role in driving a positive and compliant-style culture by supporting the full employee lifecycle, fostering labour and employee relations, and ensuring adherence to the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and Health & Safety regulations. This position acts as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees and contributes to key HR projects that align with organizational goals.What you will do:HR Advisory & Employee Lifecycle ManagementConduct onboarding and orientation for new hires, including preparation of employment contracts and employee documentationManage processes across the full employee lifecycle — onboarding, benefits, performance management, promotions, transfers, leaves, and departuresConduct and analyze exit interviews to identify engagement trends and recommend improvementsDevelop, implement, and maintain HR policies and programs in areas such as recruitment, talent management, organizational performance, and cultureMaintain HRIS accuracy and integrity; conduct audits and generate analytics to inform business decisionsLabour & Employee RelationsAct as a primary resource for employee and labour relations matters in both unionized and non-union environmentsLead or support workplace investigations, grievance resolution, and disciplinary processesCoach and advise leaders on HR policies, conflict resolution, and progressive disciplineParticipate and support contract implementation where applicableLead employee engagement and recognition programs that strengthen retention and moraleESA Compliance & Legislative ExpertiseInterpret and apply employment legislation including Employment Standards Act (ESA), Canada Labor Code, Human Rights Code, Labour Relations Act, and related statutesEnsure company compliance with employment law through audits, policy updates, and trainingProvide guidance to management and employees on hours of work, leaves, accommodations, and entitlementsManage internal investigations related to ESA or human rights concerns and recommend corrective actionsHealth, Safety & WSIB AdministrationCollaborate with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and internal safety programsManage and track WSIB claims, liaise with case managers, and facilitate the safe return-to-work processPromote a proactive safety culture through communication, training, and incident follow-upMaintain related documentation, prepare reports, and identify opportunities for risk mitigationStrategic HR PartnershipPartner with leadership to align HR initiatives with departmental and corporate strategySupport workforce planning, organizational design, and change management activitiesLead HR projects to improve operational efficiency and employee experienceTrack and report key HR metrics, providing insights for business decision-makingWho you are:Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or related discipline3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a generalist or business partner capacityExperience in unionized environments is an assetStrong knowledge of ESA, Labour Relations Act, OHSA, WSIB, Human Rights Code, and related legislationCHRP/CHRL designation (or working toward) preferredExceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsProficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS systemsDetail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with discretionCollaborative team player who also works effectively independentlyWhy you should work with A.S.P:Competitive salary and comprehensive health benefitsThree weeks of vacation to start with and 5 Paid Sick Leave per calendar yearOpportunities for professional growth and training.
