We are looking for an experienced and motivated HR Business Partner to join our team at Kopter, reporting to the Head of HR. In this role, you will partner closely with business leaders across our Engineering and Shared Services functions.Your mission will be to drive the people agenda, support talent development, and foster a high-performance culture that enables our teams to deliver at the highest standards. You will play a key role in reading the organization’s “temperature,” helping leaders stay connected to their teams, and ensuring the well-being, motivation, and engagement of our people as we progress through the critical AW09 project milestones and beyond.As part of the Leonardo Helicopters Division, you will also contribute to strengthening the alignment between Kopter and Leonardo in terms of processes, values, and cultural mind set, helping to build a cohesive, collaborative, and forward-looking organization.The position is primarily based in Switzerland, with flexibility to occasionally travel to our different sites, including Mollis, Uznach, and Wetzikon. A valid driver’s license and willingness to move between sites when needed are required.Your responsibilitiesPartner with leaders to drive engagement, performance, and development initiatives that support business objectives and project success.Act as a trusted advisor to managers, employees, and C-levels, providing guidance on leadership, employee relations, compensation, and organizational development.Support business leaders in understanding the mood and dynamics of their teams, anticipating challenges, and proposing practical solutions.Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and serve as a credible, proactive HR voice within the business.Liaise closely with HR Administration, Compensation & Development, HR Controlling, and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure seamless coordination of all people processes.Work closely with the LHD Senior HRBPs to ensure alignment, efficient exchange of information, and the optimal assignment of resources, avoiding extra costs or overlapping roles.Support the implementation of HR programs and initiatives across assigned areas, ensuring alignment with Kopter and Leonardo Group practices.Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes, including retention, learning & development, and compensation.Collaborate with management teams to design and implement HR solutions that strengthen engagement and performance.Work closely with HR colleagues across the Leonardo Helicopters Division to ensure consistency and the exchange of best practices.Your profileUniversity degree or equivalent, ideally complemented by HR-related studies.5–7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably in a technical or engineering environment; aerospace experience is an advantage.Experience working within a highly centralized system or matrix organization, effectively balancing local needs with group-level direction.Strong understanding of local employment law, social security, and HR best practices.Proven ability to influence, challenge, and coach leaders at all levels.Ability to connect and communicate effectively with employees across all levels — from blue-collar to management, adapting your style to different audiences.Experience in talent acquisition, workforce planning, and retention strategies.Pragmatic, flexible, and solution-oriented mind-set.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to sense and respond to the “pulse” of the organization.Strong alignment with Leonardo’s values and cultural mind-set, fostering collaboration, integrity, and innovation across teams.Resilient, adaptable, and passionate about people and growth.Fluency in English is a must; Italian and/or German are a plus.Valid driver’s license and flexibility to occasionally travel between Kopter sites.Please note, that this job is only open to candidates holding a valid Swiss Working Permit/ EU Nationals/ Swiss Nationals.
