Join our Road Runner Sports team as the Human Resources Coordinator! You will aid with and facilitate the Human Resource processes at all business locations while fostering team member satisfaction and compliance that aligns with our company goals. This role administers Team Member health and welfare plans, and acts as liaison between Team Members and insurance providers. You will be the key point of contact for resolving benefits-related problems and ensuring effective use of plans and positive Team Member relations. As the Human Resources Coordinator you will use your talents to bring the WOW to our Team Members and continue Building Something Great Together!About usRoad Runner Sports is proud to have been recognized as the 2023 Footwear Retailer of the Year by Footwear Magazine.Founded in a San Diego garage over 42 years ago.Road Runner Sports has 52 stores across the country, and we are growing!Our Values, Mission & Purpose (we call them Our 6 Pillars) are Be Different, Bring the WOW, Build something great together, Get Moving, Stay Active, and Live Healthy.What you'll get to doEnsures all store-initiated separation are processed in ADPAssists with unemployment insurance claims by gathering information for unemployment insurance third party administrators as needed.Ensure that plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations, and that plan provisions are followedPerforms customer service functions by answering team member requests and questionsAssists with administration health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.Assists with managing leaves of absence requests and monitoring leave of absence cases.Assists and partners with Payroll with processing of terminations company wideSchedules meetings as requested by the HR Manager.Provide administrative support to the Human Resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entryMakes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.Prepares ad hoc reports as needed and requestedAssists with SB 553 (Workplace Violence Prevention Plan) compliance recordkeeping and tracking.Oversees labor poster compliance for support center, fulfillment centers and all retail locationsMaintains the Workers Compensation and DNC(disiplinary correction notice) logs and related e-filing.Files documents into appropriate Team Member e- files.Assists with Team Member recognition events and anniversary celebrations as neededAssists with the Nectar recognition platform’s Team Member feed, challenges, and redemption of pointsDirectly report to our Human Resources ManagerAssists with identifying opportunities to optimize HR processesQualificationsBachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university,2 years related experience or combination of education and experience in human resources; 1-2 years of experience in HR Coordinator role is preferred.Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.ADP Workforce Now experienceSHRM-CP credential is a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills as you will be responding to questions from groups of internal managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to function well in a high-paced and high-volume tasked environment.Proficient with Excel and Word skills and HRIS applicationsYour rewards!Earn a competitive salary!Count on training and development to grow both personally and professionally.Enjoy discounts on gear, footwear, and more from our huge inventoryTake advantage of paid race entries so you can get moving and have fun.Extensive benefits package including medical, dental, and 401k and even pet insurance.Enjoy our generous vacation plan and other corporate perks (on-site gym, yoga, run club, casual and flexible work environment)After acceptance of a potential offer, the successful completion of a background check will be required prior to start date.
