It is a place for professionals who appreciate beauty, precision, and excellence — and who aspire to create memorable experiences while building their careers within one of the most prestigious hotel environments in the country.To support our continued growth and strengthen our people strategy, Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia is seeking an experienced and visionary Human Resources Director to join the executive leadership team.The Human Resources Director will play a strategic role in shaping and driving the hotel’s people agenda, ensuring alignment between business objectives and a strong, engaging employee experience. This position oversees all HR functions and acts as a trusted partner to senior management in building a high-performing culture that reflects the standards of luxury hospitality. Main responsibilities:Define and execute the hotel’s Human Resources strategy, aligning workforce planning, talent development, and organizational culture with business objectivesLead end-to-end talent acquisition across diverse hotel functions including Front Office, F&B, Spa, Housekeeping, Culinary, Sales, Marketing & MICE and support teams, addressing seasonal demand and turnover dynamicsBuild sustainable talent pipelines and encourage internal mobility across departments to support career growth and operational continuityChampion a culture of excellence by embedding the values of Love, Care, and Share and delivering service culture and luxury mindset training aligned with guest experience expectationsOversee learning, development, and structured training initiatives, including service standards readiness and leadership development pathwaysDesign and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives, including recognition, wellbeing, accommodation, and benefits programsManage employee and labor relations, while fostering a respectful and inclusive multicultural workplacePartner closely with department heads as a trusted advisor, supporting organizational design, change management, and team effectivenessLead HR budgeting and labor cost planning, ensuring financial discipline while supporting employee engagement and productivityDrive HR analytics and reporting, identifying correlations between people metrics, service quality, and guest satisfaction to inform strategic decisionsEnsure full compliance with labor legislation, internal policies, health & safety standards, and data protection requirements across all HR practicesProfile of the ideal candidate:Proven leadership experience (minimum of 5 years ) in Human Resources, ideally within hospitality or other service-driven environmentsMaster’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Hospitality Management, or a related fieldStrong strategic mindset combined with hands-on operational HR expertiseDemonstrated success in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational developmentSolid understanding of hotel operations and the impact of people strategy on guest experienceExperience managing multicultural teams and dynamic, high-volume environmentsStrong knowledge of labor legislation and HR governanceExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive levelFluency in English; additional languages are considered an advantageThe company offers:An inspiring workplace within one of Bulgaria’s most distinguished luxury hotels, where excellence and teamwork shape everyday experiencesA competitive remuneration package complemented by attractive benefits and recognition of individual contributionMeaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth, supported by a culture that values talent, development, and long-term career progression If you feel inspired to become part of Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia, we would be delighted to receive your CV (and portfolio, where applicable) in English.
