Job Description

To perform installation service, maintenance, startups, troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of HVAC systems. You will also be responsible for promoting the continued growth of the installation team to current and potential new customers as a field representative of HVAC.A qualified candidate will possess a provincial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Certificate or Red Seal.Job opportunities available in New Brunswick and the HRM Area of Nova Scotia.  ResponsibilitiesInstall, service and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration, air conditioning units and combined heating, ventilation & cooling systems, and repair residential heating and cooling systemsTroubleshoot onsite mechanical issuesAssist with scheduling of technicians for specific job sitesCommunicate with Project Management team Assist with ordering of materials for jobsGeneral supervision of your technician team, mentoring and training apprenticesAssist with coordinating of sub-trades on job sitesParticipate in preplanning meeting for projects.Compliance with all required occupational health and safety guidelinesEnsure Health and Safety meetings and related safety tool-box meetings are held as requiredQuality Control of work completed on jobsiteIdentify Business Risks and OpportunitiesOther duties as required to meet customer/business needsQualificationsPossession of a valid class 5 driver’s license with a good abstract.Own hand tools, tool pouch and steel toe safety boots.Ability to travel daily withing the service area, with some travel to the outer regions as necessary (Company vehicle provided).Ability to work a flexible schedule, day and nights as required by the customerAbility to work 5 days per week with a minimum of 8 hours each shift. Physical requirements of the position include: lifting, pushing and pulling, standing, bending/crouching, reaching, climbing ladders, and working at heights and in tight spaces, as allowed by OHS regulations. The job is physically demanding and involves working on rooftops and with materials such as industrial glues, refrigerants and electrical components.
