Job Description

Arcadis DPS Engineering are seeking a HVAC Project Engineer for a pharmaceutical assignment located in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. This is initially a 12-month contract, with potential for extension.Responsibilities:Support the client-side design team for all HVAC aspects across Basis of Design, Detailed Design, Construction, Commissioning, and Qualification stages.Collaborate with Site SMEs and the Engineering Technical Authority (ETA) to ensure effective HVAC design and execution.Lead client-side HVAC design reviews, guaranteeing alignment with company standards, GMP requirements, and cleanroom classifications (ISO 14644, EU GMP).Manage the design, specification, and selection of air handling units (AHUs), chillers, exhaust systems, air distribution networks, and related equipment.Review and approve design drawings, user requirement specifications (URS), hardware/software design specifications (HDS/SDS), and equipment documentation.Support Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FATs/SATs), oversee commissioning and qualification activities, and assist troubleshooting during start-up.Provide oversight for HVAC system integration with Building Management Systems (BMS), monitor installation quality, ensure safety compliance, and resolve issues during construction. Contribute to vendor selection, procurement, technical evaluations for HVAC packages, and participate in cost and schedule reviews to achieve project objectives.Requirements:Minimum 8–10 years of experience in HVAC design and project delivery within pharmaceutical or biopharma environments.Experience in GMP cleanroom HVAC design and validation.Strong knowledge of HVAC standards and regulatory guidelines (IS, EN, ASHRAE, ISO 14644).Ability to interpret and challenge design decisions, ensuring alignment with project requirements.Proficiency in HVAC design software and AutoCAD or Revit preferred.Degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.Professional accreditation (e.g., CEng, ASHRAE, or equivalent) preferred but not required.Why Join Arcadis?At Arcadis, we empower individuals to excel because your contributions matter.
