IGNITE Opto-Mechanical Engineer - EMIRATI Talent

This role is part of the IGNITE TRAINEE PROGRAM at EDGE for Graduates.Key Accountabilities Use 3D CAD modeling software to create opto-mechanical components and assemblies. Design, develop, analyze, document, and test opto-mechanical components and assemblies, with the support of senior engineers. Learn how to conduct analysis (tolerance, thermal, structural, optical, etc.) using appropriate tools for the job. Leverage engineering tools such as CAD and FEA software to design components and systems with the support of senior engineers. Perform basic design calculations to understand how loads and environmental factors affect performance of mechanical components. Participate in design reviews to learn and understand the existing systems, and be actively participating in the engineering and development. Learn how to design for manufacturability in order to produce components that are manufacturable. Learn to generate data packs, artifacts, and files to support manufacturing with the support of senior engineers. Requirements Fresh university graduate in opto-mechanical engineering. Bachelor degree in opto-mechanical engineering. Key Skills Knowledge and understanding of key opto-mechanical engineering concepts. Basic knowledge in using CAD modeling and simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS, etc.). Basic understanding of optical modeling and simulation tools. Basic understanding of manufacturing and testing processes. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively. Willingness to learn and grow in a multidisciplinary environment.
