Managing and supervising the implementation of electrical equipment in substations and renewable power plantsOverseeing the installation and operation of relay protection and automation devices, PLCs, RTUs, transducers, and IT network devicesEvaluating and ensuring grid connection compliancePreparing design tasks and technical requirements for owner’s equipment and systemsReviewing and approving technical specifications, design solutions, and contractor equipmentApproving factory drawings, testing procedures, and detailed design schematicsSupervising factory acceptance tests, installation, and pre-commissioningOverseeing site acceptance and grid code testsApproving As-Built documentation, including test reports and operation manuals. Required for this position:
Master's or bachelor's degree in electrical or Automation EngineeringExperience in electrical engineering and automation, particularly in power plants, substations, and distribution / transmission networksBasic knowledge of relay protection devices and communication protocolsExperience in design or testing or planning, and maintenance of electrical systems, SCADA systems and IT network devicesKnowledge of control system engineering, including data acquisition, communication protocols, and supervisory systemsExperience in communication with transmission system operator and/or distribution system operator in regards of relay protection and automation implementationProficiency in Latvian and English (oral and written) as this role involves regular communication with international colleagues and partners.
Would Be an Advantage: Experience with renewable energy systems (e. g. , wind or solar engineering, energy storage)Proficiency in relay protection and automation, including experience with controllers (PLC, RTU) and transducers.
