Learn more at: www.descartes.com, www.customsinfo.comThe Implementation Consultant works directly with customers to deploy a variety of Descartes solutions. The most commonly implemented solutions for this role involve product master trade compliance and classification applications. The Implementation Consultant participates in—and frequently leads—customer projects, which typically include business process analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, and go-live support. This role is also responsible for conducting customer training throughout the implementation and deployment of Descartes solutions. We are looking for a Senior and an Intermediate Implementation Consultant to join our team.In This Positon You Will Be Responsible For Establish Statements of Work and define project deliverables. Create and maintain Project Plans, schedule activities, and track project milestones to meet agreed timelines. Manage and communicate engagement status, scope changes, and issue escalations. Analyze and assess customer requirements. Review customers’ trade compliance and product classification processes. Design and configure systems in alignment with solution architecture. Analyze, design, and test proprietary software applications. Apply knowledge of compliance operations and compliance software to support customers. Implement and configure Descartes’ proprietary applications and solutions. Train customers on Descartes’ products and solutions. Document future-state business processes based on the implemented software, including integration requirements. Conduct data analysis and validation to support system integrations. Interface with customer IT/IS teams to facilitate software configuration and design changes. Respond to customer application issues and deliver post-implementation technical support based on a deep understanding of the functional features of Descartes’ proprietary software. Up to 10% travel required.QualificationsEssential Qualities/Skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain/Logistics Management, or a related field. 3–5 years of relevant work experience. Superior verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish (fully bilingual), with the ability to communicate effectively in individual, team, and group settings. Ability to operate independently in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment. Ability to quickly learn and apply technical concepts when working with Descartes customers. Experience documenting business objectives and translating them into requirements. Strong critical-thinking skills, including identifying and improving suboptimal internal processes. Experience delivering live training and supporting users through early adoption phases. Experience mapping data between multiple systems. Project management experience, including time management and scope-change control.SQL Ability to understand SQL queries and stored procedures and collaborate with technical team members on data interface requirements.Programming/Integration Ability to read, interpret, and create XML documents.Desirable Qualities/Skills Willingness to take on new challenges and learn new concepts. Strong project management and personal time-management abilities. Excellent communication skills. Understanding of relational databases.Location: This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in our Montevideo office.Other Self-motivated, proactive, and able to anticipate and plan for future needs. Strong attention to detail. Commitment to meeting deadlines and completing tasks. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
