EWOB values board members who combine governance experience with advocacy, strategic thinking, and the ability to mobilise networks in support of our mission.We are seeking a senior executive with strong networking and influencing skills, capable of building relationships with and introducing EWOB to key stakeholders — including corporate chairs, partners, executive search firms, and policymakers — to advance our mission. We particularly value NEDs who can actively contribute to EWOB’s fundraising efforts and corporate partnership strategy. Expertise in areas such as Diversity and Inclusion, Corporate Governance and Compliance, Financial Oversight, Risk Management, or other emerging challenges facing boards would be highly valuable.We welcome applications from individuals of all genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds, and actively seek candidates who bring diverse perspectives and lived experiences, contributing to a richer understanding of the challenges and opportunities we face across Europe and beyond.This is a remote, Europe-wide role, and EWOB welcomes applications from candidates based anywhere in Europe or beyond.Role requirementsThe NED is expected to attend 4-5 board meetings per year (typically held online). In addition, board members are expected to participate in or support one or more EWOB activities throughout the year and to engage with members and stakeholders to promote the organisation’s mission and initiatives. This is a voluntary, non-remunerated position.
