SIDENORis looking for aIndustrial IT Senior Engineerto join the team in Thessaloniki or Almyros-MagnesiaSidenor is seeking an Industrial IT Senior Engineer to join its plants in Thessaloniki or Almyros, Magnesia. With 60 years of industry know-how and expertise Sidenor is the largest steel industry in Greece and constitutes the steel production and trading segment of Viohalco. Sidenor Group is a leading steel producer in Southeastern Europe with 4 production units in Greece, Bulgaria and Northern Macedonia.As the Industrial IT Senior Engineer, you will report to the Infrastructure & Network Senior Manager and be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and support of industrial IT systems across our manufacturing and production environments. This role bridges the gap between IT and operational technology (OT), ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient integration of industrial systems with enterprise infrastructure. The role will be based in Thessaloniki or Volos and will require availability for business trips to all plants.What you will need to do:Design and provide consultation in industrial IT infrastructure (networks, servers, HMIs, SCADA, MES) along with Automation DepartmentsIntegrate OT systems with enterprise IT platforms (ERP, cloud services, data lakes)Support OT to ensure interoperability between PLCs, sensors, and control systemsSupport implementation of cybersecurity projects for industrial environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, corporate IT, Cyber Security etc.) and manage vendors and contractors for system upgrades and installationsProvide Level 3 support for industrial IT systemsTroubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues in production environmentsSupport digital transformation initiatives in industrial operationsWhat you need to possess:Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field5+ years of experience in industrial IT or OT environmentsStrong knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, Profibus, Ethernet/IP)Experience with SCADA, PLCs, and industrial networkingFamiliarity with cybersecurity frameworks and tools for OT What will lead you to success:Excellent communication and presentation skills (Greek & English)Must be able to work as a team player yet have the ability to work independentlyExperience working with large and complex matrix organizationsStrong analytical skills and results-driven approachStrong stakeholder management skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize and manage various projects/requests/issuesWhat we will offer to you:A workplace with a strong focus on values of teamwork, integrity, and ownershipDynamic and friendly working environmentCompetitive remuneration and benefits packageContinuous training and career development opportunitiesPrivate medical & health insurance planFood vouchersMental health and nutrition support lineWhat you will need to do next:Joining the Sidenor Group family is easy!
