Role Overview The Procurement and Inventory Supervisor will oversee the full cycle of procurement and inventory management processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and accuracy across the department. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals. Supervise and guide the Procurement & Inventory team to achieve departmental targets.
Source suppliers and request quotations. Process purchase orders and follow up on deliveries. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements with vendors. Liaise with vendors for quality, timelines, and compliance with specifications. Report defective or poor-quality stock found during inspections for supplier performance tracking. Coordinate with Operations to monitor and reconcile tool bag consumables and physical tools. Lead weekly digital tool bag checks and monthly joint physical inspections. Identify and record stock variances (excesses or shortages) and escalate where necessary. Ensure consumables are regularly assessed for expiry, damage, or deterioration and removed from circulation.
Oversee verification and recording of company physical tools as assets. Ensure timely and accurate updates in Kazee for issued, used, and returned items. Drive escalation and variance follow-ups to resolution. Provide supplier performance feedback and maintain quality assurance loops. Generate and present procurement and inventory reports to management. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices. Train and mentor team members to strengthen procurement and inventory standards. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement and inventory management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control systems. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/inventory management systems.
