About The RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Information Analyst to join the Data Quality and Innovation Team within North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) on a 12-month fixed-term basis.As part of a friendly and forward-thinking team, you will help to drive improvements in the accuracy, completeness and reliability of our data across the organisation. Your work will play a vital role in supporting operational performance, digital transformation, and patient-centred care.This role will suit a motivated analyst with strong attention to detail, a logical mindset, and a passion for improving data quality and insight within a fast-paced NHS environment.Key Responsibilities Manage the delivery of standard and ad-hoc data quality reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate with the Informatics and Digital Innovation teams to share knowledge and improve processes. Support the development and maintenance of information systems, ensuring data flows are accurate, validated and understood. Support directorates in analysing and interpreting data for business planning and service development. Undertake regular data quality audits, providing feedback and recommendations to operational teams. Perform routine and ad-hoc data extractions from multiple sources.About YouYou will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) and have demonstrable analytical skills, including proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel, and experience of Power BI report development. You’ll be confident working independently, managing competing priorities, and communicating effectively with colleagues at all levels.Experience within the NHS or another healthcare setting is desirable but not essential — what’s most important is your curiosity, attention to detail and commitment to improving data quality to support better care.North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England.
