IT Project CoordinatorLocation: Onsite/Hybrid (Client HQ)Employment Type: Long-Term Contract (Ongoing/Recurring)Pay Rate: $35.00/hr (W2)Benefits: Health, dental, vision available while on contractAbout the RoleWe are seeking a detail-driven IT Project Coordinator to support an established internal software development team. This is a long-term, ongoing contract role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working cross-functionally, and brings strong organizational and communication skills.The Project Coordinator will work closely with developers, product owners, QA, and business stakeholders to facilitate project activities, maintain project documentation, manage Jira workflows, support change management processes, and help keep sprint and delivery commitments on track.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination & TrackingSupport multiple software development initiatives simultaneously across the internal development team.Maintain project plans, task lists, timelines, milestones, and dependencies.Track sprint progress, backlog items, and priority changes in Jira.Facilitate meetings such as standups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retros (as needed).Jira Administration & ReportingCreate, update, and maintain Jira tickets, workflows, dashboards, and reports.Ensure all development and change requests are accurately documented and aligned with sprint goals.Identify gaps or inconsistencies in Jira documentation and follow up with team members to resolve them.Change Management SupportAssist in governing the intake, review, approval, and communication of change requests.Document impacts, risks, stakeholders, and implementation steps for proposed changes.Support communication plans related to deployments, outages, enhancements, and feature rollouts.Ensure compliance with internal change control standards and governance processes.Stakeholder & Team SupportAct as a liaison between project teams, developers, and business units to clarify requirements and timelines.Capture meeting notes, decisions, risks, and follow-ups; ensure accountability for action items.Assist with resource planning, task assignments, and coordination between cross-functional teams.Help maintain alignment between technical teams and business expectations.Required Skills & Experience2–4+ years of experience in IT Project Coordination, PMO support, or Software Development project environments.Hands-on experience with Jira (ticketing, workflows, dashboards, reporting).Familiarity with Change Management processes in an IT or software development setting.Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.Ability to manage competing priorities and work with multiple stakeholders.Comfortable working with Agile/Scrum environments and terminology.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting internal development or engineering teams.Exposure to Confluence or similar documentation tools.Understanding of SDLC, release management, and agile project processes.Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.Why This Role?Stable, ongoing contract with no planned end date.$35/hr with health benefits available.Direct involvement in active software development initiatives.Opportunity to help shape processes for Jira, change control, and project governance.
