MEDLOG is a growing cargo business of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, the world’s largest container carrier.The role of the IT Supervisor is to ensure optimal performance of field & office information technology systems and operations in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. The IT Supervisor will provide technical expertise in the operations and maintenance of computers, mobile devices, servers, network infrastructure, office automation, surveillance, and cyber-security.The IT Supervisor will coordinate closely with the Medlog Regional IT Manager – Southeast Asia and the Regional IT General Manager to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions in line with the organization’s strategic vision.The IT Supervisor will supervise all IT operations in the entities belonging to Medlog Vietnam.Key Responsibilities Project Management and DeliveryFunctional Reporting of IT matters to the Medlog Regional IT Manager – Southeast Asia and the Regional General Manager, Information Technology.Working with the Management to plan and execute technology projects and to make sure the right IT architecture and solutions are in place to support the company in delivering objectivesEstablishing project scopes, goals, timelines, resources, and deliverables that support business goals and tracking projects progress.Support Country Manager in setting up annual IT Budgets for Medlog Vietnam Holding (MVH) in accordance with MSC Geneva HQ IT policies and standards.Budgeting and Procurement Process ManagementPlanning and utilization of annual IT budgets for field offices, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers, vendors, and service providers, to ensure cost effectiveness.Formulating the IT procurement process in field offices to ensure the purchased items align with the business needs.Regular reviewing and enhancing existing procedures with different stakeholders. IT Security ManagementLiaise with GVA’s IT policy to make sure the field offices’ IT security baseline is fulfilled.Participate in GVA’s IT audits, and subsequent remediation to ensure compliance.Implement and oversee technological upgrades, improvements, and major changes to the information security environment, as required by Security Operations (SecOps) Team.Technical ManagementResponsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting network devices like firewalls, L2/L3 switches, routers, wireless access points… etc. To collaborate with external IT providers when necessary.Responsible for OS deployments and application installations, support, and troubleshooting.Responsible for servers’ software and hardware installation, maintenance, and support.Responsible for maintenance of other office equipment including printer, telephone, CCTV, etc.At Depots, to be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of software and hardware such as printers, scanners, copier machines, attendance systems, walkie talkies, etc.Regular update of technical documentation.Regular assistance in asset inventory stock-take.Provide technical remote assistance to other offices, or even on-site support if necessary.Assist GVA / Regional office on IT audits.Other ad-hoc tasks as required.Key Experience & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.5 years relevant IT experience in a foreign-invested company.Experience in project management and daily IT operation support.Experience in Cloud solution design, migration, and implementation (Azure).Experience in on-prem Microsoft Active Directory Domain Controller or Entra ID (Azure AD).Experience in planning and executing technology projects and system implementations effectively.Experience in both wired and wireless network design and L2/L3 networking.Experience in managing firewall.Strong knowledge of cyber security.Strong oral and written communications skills in local language and English.Strong interpersonal skills, problem solving, prioritization, proactive and teamworkDynamic and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.Key Competencies & SkillsInfrastructure Design – knowledge of translating functional and operational requirements into appropriate infrastructure design.Infrastructure management and Operations - knowledge in Windows’ Environment and Cloud Computing (Windows Server, Azure), network topology, operation and troubleshooting skills (FW, SW, RT).Budget management - Knowledge in tracking IT resources spending as planned and re-estimate the result during the year.Internal policies and procedures – knowledge of documented guidelines and manuals which regulate internal IT operations.Service Management – knowledge in ticketing system and ITIL process to prioritize and support the end-users with end-to-end delivery of IT services. Asset Management – Knowledge of keeping track of IT asset inventory. Ensuring each IT assets are documented, deployed, maintained, upgraded, and disposed upon EOL.
