IT Support Analyst (2nd/3rd line) - Global Technology company - 12 month contractA world-leading technology company based in Cork is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented IT Support Analyst to be the primary technical contact for our employees in Cork, Ireland.This is a foundational, entry-level role where you will ensure employee productivity by providing timely, friendly, and effective technical support across all platforms. You will resolve most issues using standard procedures, and use your analytical skills to diagnose and escalate complex problems.What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)Frontline Support: Deliver first and second-level technical assistance (in person, phone, and electronic) for hardware, software, printing, email, and operating systems.Incident Management: Follow standard operating procedures for incident logging, detailed documentation of issues/resolutions, and managing service requests through the full lifecycle.Troubleshooting: Systematically diagnose and resolve routine to moderately complex issues across major operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Linux) and core applications (especially MS Office Suite/Outlook).Workstation Management: Perform standard installation, configuration, maintenance, and updates for PCs, mobile devices, and peripherals.Knowledge Sharing: Proactively contribute to and maintain the internal knowledge base and support documentation.Communication: Provide clear, timely project status updates and proactively flag obstacles to leads and end-users.Skills and Competencies You'll BringCustomer Focus: Natural ability to identify needs and deliver professional, patient support.Technical Acumen: Strong troubleshooting knowledge across OS, hardware, and core enterprise applications.Accountability & Initiative: You take ownership of your work, follow through on tasks, and drive for completion.Adaptability: Capacity to adjust to changing priorities and use standard procedures to manage workload pressure.Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for clear information exchange with all users.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.1+ years of direct experience in an IT Support or customer-facing technical support role.1+ years of practical experience in OS/software application troubleshooting.Preferred QualificationsA Bachelor's degree in an IT-relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science).Interested?
