Provides continual feedback and various methods of assessment measurement by ensuring student mastery of the following learning outcomes: Explains purpose of BIM and how it is applied in Autodesk Revit software Uses basic sketching and modifying tools and link CAD and Revit files to begin a project Creates levels and grids as datum elements for a model and 3D building model with walls, curtain walls, windows, and doors Adds component features, such as furniture and equipment and floors, ceilings, and roofs to a building model Models stairs, railings, and ramps and set up sheets for plotting with text, dimensions, details, tags, and schedules Creates In-Place Conceptual Mass elements Uses rooms and areas for space planning and analysis and create perspectives, sketches, exploded views, and solar studies Renders views that include materials, lighting, and enhancements such as people and plants Creates topographic surfaces, property lines, and building pads Annotates site plans, adds site components, and modifies topo surfaces with subregions, splitting surfaces, and grading the regions Creates structural grids and add columns, foundation walls, footings, beams, and beam systems Creates framing elevations, add braces and set up project phasing Uses multi-discipline coordination including Copy/Monitor and Coordination Review Imports and exports vector and raster files and link Autodesk Revit filesDEPARTMENT SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*:Strong Revit skillsetJob SummaryProvides quality and technically relevant instruction in the assigned program. Follows departmental guidelines, policies, procedures and relevant regulations.ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides quality and technically relevant instruction of course curriculum Teaches students learning strategies Conducts teaching and instructional activities using educational equipment, manipulatives, props, and other learning aids Provides continual feedback and various methods of assessment measurement by ensuring student mastery of the following learning outcomes as addressed in the program¿s addendum Assesses and records grading for all homework assignments, quizzes, and tests Completes paperwork associated with classroom and project management Participates in marketing of courses to prospective students by providing technical information regarding course content during biannual Open House events Assists with course and/or program evaluation and continuous improvement and resolve quiz disputes when necessary Maintains acceptable program quality and satisfaction scores Keeps Program Manager informed of any curriculum or student code of conduct issues Records attendance in learning management systemRequired QualificationsEducational RequirementsBachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher educationRequired ExperienceFive (5) years of work experience working with Revit softwarePreferred QualificationsAdditional Preferred QualificationsPrior Teaching Experience Is PreferredPreferred Educational QualificationsAutodesk Certified User Revit certification or an Autodesk Certified Professional Revit certification is a plusAbilitiesKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAble to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlinesAble to motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational processAble to review syllabus and learning outcomes the first night of classAble to provide sufficient time for students to complete course evaluationsDo not release class earlyDo not leave class unattendedAble to respond to student inquiries in a timely mannerKNOWLEDGEBe familiar with all emergency procedures posted in the classroomSkillsExcellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skillsProficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)Strong attention to detail and follow up skillsStrong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquetteUSG Core ValuesThe University System of Georgia is comprised of our 26 institutions of higher education and learning as well as the System Office.
