This position, as well as all field positions at Intricate, are typically 8 paid days on, and 6 days off rotation. This means you will enjoy 6‐days off every shift.Job DescriptionThe role of theInstrument TechnicianorIndustrial Electricanmay be completing Instrumentation and electrical oilfield maintenance/construction and commissioning. This can include EFM gas, liquid meter, and device verifications, instrument and electrical construction. Technicians are expected to provide a limited amount of sampling and verification of Flare, Fuel, and Vent data while on site. Additionally, you may be required to support other aspects of service lines within Intricate as necessary, such as CSU and Construction activities.Key Responsibilities Complete technical troubleshooting and field maintenance. Complete instrument and electrical construction Complete wellsite and facility instrumentation shutdown checks and inspections Complete EFM gas calibrations and verifications Complete on site liquid meter verifications Understand, interpret and troubleshoot Basic RTU, EFM, and PLC configurations Interpret P&ID’s and measurement schematics Complete gas and liquid sampling Apply AER Directive 017 regulations and BCER measurement guidelines to work habits and procedures Apply Canadian Electrical Code to construction activities Willing and able to provide mentorship and training to less experienced staff Understand basic regulatory requirements and measurement best practicesExpectations Have flexibility in terms of schedule and travel requirements in Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan (company vehicle provided) Promote a company culture that encourages top performance and promotes a healthy and safe workplace Strong work ethic and ensure that safe work procedures and processes are followed in the field Adapt quickly with the ability to manage and deal with ever-changing job requirements Excellent communication, organization, time-management, and prioritization skills Establish and maintain excellent team and client working relationships Good mathematical, mechanical, and logical reasoning skills Ability to organize and maintain all assigned equipment, including assigned Intricate vehicleQualifications Instrument Mechanic and/or Industrial Electricians - Journeyman In-depth knowledge of field activities, upstream oil and gas facilities Fluent with Microsoft Office, Google, and general software Required HSE training for field work Valid Alberta Class 5 operator’s license or equivalent with clean driver abstract Work in vicinity of high pressure lines and electrical systems Experience working with basic hand tools Off-road driving experience an assetAdditional InformationWho Should apply?
