Our client, a respected player in the financial services industry, is seeking a Compliance Manager to strengthen oversight and embed a culture of accountability across their operations.The OpportunityYou’ll play a key role in developing, monitoring, and reporting on compliance programmes that ensure full adherence to the Companies Act, FAIS, the Insurance Acts, FIC Act, and related legislation. This role goes beyond ticking boxes — it’s about influencing culture, guiding decision-makers, and ensuring the business operates with transparency and ethical intent.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain an effective Compliance Monitoring Programme across the business.Review, update, and embed company policies, procedures, and Codes of Conduct to align with changing regulatory requirements.Advise senior management on compliance risks, regulatory updates, and governance matters.Partner with Legal, Risk, and Operational teams to investigate and resolve compliance breaches.Conduct ongoing training and awareness programmes to build a compliance-conscious workforce.Drive the reporting of compliance results, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.RequirementsWhat You’ll BringA BCom (Law / General) or LLB degree, plus a Compliance Management Certificate (Compliance Institute SA or equivalent).5–7 years’ insurance compliance experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.Solid knowledge of FAIS, Insurance Acts, FIC Act, AML, and the broader financial regulatory landscape.A collaborative mindset with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and regulators.Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.What Sets You ApartYou see compliance as an enabler of business growth, not a barrier.
