Insurance Specialist - Disability & Long-Term Care PlanningLocation: Fort Lauderdale, FL (Hybrid, Full-time)Compensation: Competitive OTE, including base salary and additional earnings from brokerage production | W2 with benefitsAbout the Role:Our client, a leading financial services firm, is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Insurance Specialist with deep expertise in Disability Income (DI) and Long-Term Care (LTC) insurance. This role is ideal for an internal wholesaler, case designer, or product specialist who enjoys working closely with advisors, helping them close more cases, strengthen client conversations, and expand protection planning within their practices.As the firm’s go-to DI/LTC expert, you’ll educate advisors, design solutions, and support implementation while also having the opportunity to develop your own brokerage book of business. You’ll work closely with firm leadership and carrier partners to create production opportunities and position the firm as a leader in income protection and care planning.What You’ll Do: Serve as the firm’s internal resource on DI and LTC solutions, supporting advisors through case design, product selection, and underwriting strategyPartner with advisors to identify income protection and extended care opportunities within their client baseLead advisor training and client-facing presentations on DI/LTC concepts, product mechanics, and planning strategiesDevelop strong relationships with carriers and underwriters to stay on top of product innovation and competitive positioningTrack production, forecast growth opportunities, and share sales insights with leadershipBuild your own brokerage relationships over time, earning additional compensation tied to production and distribution growthTraits & Experience We’re Looking For:5+ years of experience in insurance or financial services, preferably in an internal wholesaling, case design, or advanced planning roleBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field (or equivalent experience)Strong sales instincts with product knowledge in DI and LTC insurance, both traditional and hybridProven ability to educate and influence advisors, helping them integrate protection products into holistic planningExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsEntrepreneurial mindset with interest in building a brokerage book of businessActive Life & Health license required; CLTC®, CFP®, ChFC®, or RHU® preferredExperience using carrier illustration software and CRM systems (Salesforce or similar)Familiarity with brokerage environments is a plusWhy Join the Team:Competitive compensation and benefitsCollaborative and supportive work environmentOpportunities for professional growth and development
