Job Description
Your main accountabilities will be to:Operate grading, storage and cleaning machinery efficiently and safelyEfficiently operate mechanical handling equipment to the required standardsSupport achievement of the required product throughput to meet production plansCarry out all duties in line with food legislation, BRC and customer food safety requirementsRaise machinery or mechanical handling equipment inefficiencies and faults with the relevant Managers or department. Maintain all machinery to a level commensurate with their roleAssist with providing materials for product changeovers to the required standards and timescalesMaintain area to the correct hygiene standards at all timesAccurate completion of all documentation required to ensure product is traceable and quality standards have been maintainedTake part as required in Daily reviews at performance boards and ownership of efficiency issuesIdentification of sub-standard stock is met at all timesEnsure that all required stock is available for the production team at the correct quantity at the correct timeHours: 2 week rotating shift pattern; Week 1 7am to 7pm Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, week 2 7pm to 7am Sunday to Wednesday or Monday to Thursday.£13.15 per hour plus 50p per hour when working nights.RequirementsEssential Qualifications:Mechanical handling equipment qualifications (FLT, ride on barrows, pedestrian pallet trucks)Numeracy and literacy skillsBasic IT SkillsDesirable:Experience in a food manufacturing environmentPersonal Attributes:Good team worker, works to a high degree of accuracy and able to communicate effectivelyCan work on own initiative and as part of a team, practical and pragmaticSmart appearance; pleasant manner; easy to work withApproachable and respectful of work colleaguesBenefitsSome of our benefits include:Competitive SalaryNEST Pension SchemeAnnual Leave - 24.8 daysLong service awardsEmployee Wellness ProgrammesLife AssuranceRide to Work Scheme
