You will serve as a key strategic orchestrator — translating vision into actionable plans, driving & inspiring cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the successful realization of outcomes that bring meaningful impact to patients and healthcare systems.This is a highly influential role that requires both strategic foresight and hands-on leadership to enable teams to deliver excellence across the full disease area lifecycle — from insight generation to execution and outcomes measurement.Your ImpactDA Vision & Strategy DevelopmentInspire and align the POD around a compelling Disease Area (DA) vision that translates global ambition into strategic priorities that meets the Cx and ecosystem needsLead the design and evolution of integrated long- and short-term strategies that reflect global commercial and medical priorities, LMIC objectives, scientific advancements, and evolving customer and market dynamicsOversee the DA’s Operating Business Plan (OBP), ensuring clear strategic direction, focused execution, and mobilization of team efforts toward measurable outcomes and sustained impactStrategic Focus & Scenario PlanningDrive forward-looking strategic planning processes that integrate both short- and long-term perspectives to anticipate market shifts and emerging opportunitiesAssess, lead & capture the market opportunities, portfolio scenario modeling, and market competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions that will help in positioning for the Disease AreaEnsure that Cx & market insights are translated into strategic foresight, guiding prioritization, resource allocation, and trade-off decisions to ensure resilience, and a sustainable long term partnershipBuild and evaluate business cases, conduct trade-off analyses, and ensure investment prioritization toward impactful, strategically aligned initiativesPOD Enablement & OrchestrationLead, enable, and mobilize the cross-functional POD, bringing together diverse expertise — including Marketing Enablers, Medical Enablers, Patient Journey Partners (PJPs), Disease Area Partners (DAPs), Business Value Partners (BVPs), Access Enablers, and other key functionsInspire a shared purpose and vision, fostering strategic alignment across functions to deliver on the disease area’s long-term objectivesChallenge priorities and assumptions constructively to ensure focus on initiatives that drive the greatest patient and business impactEmbed a culture of collaboration and accountability, enabling the POD to operate as one integrated team with clear ownership and agilityInfluence and empower team members to stay hyper-focused on outcomes realization, ensuring execution excellence and measurable strategic progressEnsure effective collaboration and execution toward prioritized strategic outcomes in line with Roche’s vision and long-term DA objectivesOutcomes RealizationGuide prioritization and investment decisions by assessing WPs based on strategic value, maturity, and contribution, ensuring that resources and budgets are directed toward initiatives with the highest return on patient and business impactMobilize and orchestrate the POD members and cross-functional resources to ensure seamless alignment between the DA strategic vision and on-ground objectives, enabling timely and effective delivery of key initiativesDesign and oversee robust governance frameworks for work package (WP) effectiveness as a VACC leader — removing barriers, ensuring execution discipline, and driving sustained progress toward DA outcomesCuriously challenge the pod members priorities & cx insights to foster a culture of continuous improvement & accountability that is able to drive meaningful measurable impactContinuously track, evaluate, and steer WP performance, maintaining alignment with strategic objectives and ensuring execution excellence across all prioritized initiativesEnsure operational clarity and cadence, enabling visibility, iteration, and cross-functional focus to maximize progress toward the long-term DA visionLicense to OperateEnsure integrity, compliance and maintain our license to operate in any external engagements, partnerships, collaborations, interfaces, decisions, negotiations, and contracting in Egypt. Ensure that the function proactively engages with internal compliance and legal resources to ensure full compliance before taking action and/or committing Roche to activities externallyWho You Are– You hold a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related health field; holding master’s in Health Economics, Public Health, PharmD, or MBA is a strong plus.– You have 7+ years of experience in a senior customer-facing role (ie; access, sales, medical, or marketing), and proven track record in leading cross-functional initiatives.– You are able to synthesize & collectively translate diverse market insights & global directions into a clear vision & forward-looking strategies.
