Hiring: Intermediate Business Analyst - Public Sector (Healthcare)Location: Toronto, Hybrid (Up to 3 days onsite per week)Duration: January 2026Hourly Rate: Competitive (depending on skills and experience)Client: (Public Sector Healthcare Organization)Overview:We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Business Analyst with expertise in healthcare interoperability standards, particularly HL7 FHIR, to support critical projects aimed at modernizing clinical data exchange and reducing reliance on paper-based processes.Key Responsibilities:Lead business process analysis to identify, evaluate, and optimize workflows supporting strategic and operational objectivesPrepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials to support planning, decision-making, and partner communicationsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of Ontario Health products, policies, and digital health standards to support team and interest-holder alignmentAnalyze and resolve issues related to data quality, governance, and accessibility across standards initiativesConduct partner engagement to gather requirements, support adoption, and promote interoperabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align standards initiatives with broader portfolio goalsFacilitate and support committees and working groups by coordinating meetings, agendas, and decision trackingDevelop and maintain documentation artifacts including charters, project logs, process maps, use cases, and training materialsWork with different partners and subject matter experts from different backgrounds (clinical, business, and technical).Qualifications & Experience:Proven experience in business process analysis, workflow optimization, and documentationProficiency in data analysis, business intelligence, and solution development lifecycleResearch and analysisCommunication and collaboration Partner managementBachelor’s degree in Business, Health Information, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)Minimum 7 years of experience in business process analysis, solution adoption, and change managementProven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and process mapping techniquesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results under tight deadlinesExtensive experience in partner engagement and facilitation for digital health initiativesStrong knowledge of healthcare data standards and terminologies (e.g., HL7 FHIR®, SNOMED CT®, LOINC®)Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, and strong partner engagement skillsStrong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making capabilitiesPublic Sector Experience RequiredPreferred Skills:Proficiency with Microsoft Products, with a preference for candidates that have experience with Microsoft based cloud tools (e.g., Microsoft Office 365)Proficiency in process mapping techniques and solution development lifecycleCollege/University undergraduate degree in Business, Health Information or related discipline from a recognized institution or equivalent experienceKnowledge of Healthcare Information Systems used throughout the province of OntarioKnowledge of Ontario’s healthcare landscapeAbility to readily identify, assess and mitigate implementation and adoption issuesExcellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skillsA team player with a track record for meeting deadlinesWhy Join?This is an exciting opportunity to influence Canada's health data landscape, working on impactful projects that improve patient care and frontline provider experiences.
