The Best Players Need the Best People.The Event Services Intern is responsible for assisting and supporting the Senior Manager of Event Services and the Event Services Specialist in all aspects of tournament execution and activation, including, but not limited to, client experience, sponsorship activation, special event management, player and caddie experience and volunteer oversight.Primary ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Senior Manager of Event Services and Event Services Specialist to coordinate and manage all aspects of a professional golf tournamentAssist with special event logistics and execution, including, but not limited to, Corporate Hospitality Day, Media Day, Volunteer Appreciation Day, the Official Pro-Am and the Am-AmManage tournament hospitality website and assist with client communication, tracking and fulfillmentResponsible for execution of Honorary Observer Program, including management of apparel inventory and guest communicationOversee inventory and placement of tournament linens and framesAssist with volunteer program, including volunteer uniform distribution & training sessionsResponsible for oversight and management of client gifting and deliveriesAssist with PGA TOUR Childcare program executionAssist with general administrative work and other Event Services related duties as assigned (i.e. answering phones, purchasing, billing, etc.)QualificationsEducation: Minimum of 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) with a major in Sports Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or another related fieldORGraduating senior or graduate student in an accredited four-year college or university with availability to work in-person, full-time for the duration of the internshipORCurrently possess a bachelor’s degree Experience: Prior experience with athletics administration, communication or event management is preferredSkill Set Requirements: Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and computer skills are crucialMust take initiative, operate proactively and think independently in project management and problem solvingAbility to work in a team environment as well as individuallyCapacity to work on several projects simultaneously and maintain exceptional attention to detailSelf-disciplined with schedule and time managementAbility to stand for extended periods of time and lift/move weighted boxesComputer Skills: Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookLOCATIONCharlotte, North Carolina, USABACKGROUNDThe Truist Championship is one of eight PGA TOUR Signature Events featuring one of the most premier fields in golf. The Truist Championship will take place May 4 - 10, 2026, at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Truist Championship is owned and operated by the PGA TOUR.EMPLOYMENT DATES & HOURSEmployment Dates*: Monday, February 2, 2026 – Sunday, May 31, 2026Hours Expectation: 40 hours per week, unless otherwise statedSignificant overtime expected during the following timeframes:Monday, April 6 – Sunday, April 12Monday, April 27 – Sunday, May 10Applicants are expected to work out of the Truist Championship tournament office for the duration of the internship. Applicants are responsible for their own lodging, transportation and food during employment.
