This position is a hands-on intern position where you will be working with the Operations Center Team for Wiley’s internal applications.How You Will Make An ImpactProactive and Reactive monitoring of 1500+ applications & assistance with escalation and troubleshooting.Participate in major incident discussions with support teams and incident management teams, leveraging support where possible on tasks.Take part in innovation and development of Automation software/in-house tools to support the operations and reduce the workload.Learn advanced and research new technological opportunities.What We Look ForUndergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or any other related discipline.Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux server environments and basic commands.Basic understanding of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.Basic understanding of containerization technologies and cloud platforms.Knowledge of Linux/Unix and basic scripting using Bash or Python.Strong understanding of Software Life Cycle Management (SDLC).Knowledge of database concepts and the ability to write SQL queries.Understanding of basic networking concepts, including IP addressing, DNS, and routing.Knowledge of programming languages such as PHP and Java is an added advantage.Willingness to work in a roster-based environment.Knowledge of ITSM-related tools and processes.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Good knowledge of documentation, with AI-based analytical and reporting skills.Related Learnings And Outcomes Of InternshipExpertise in working in a multinational organization environment.Hands-on understanding of ITIL-related processes.Hands-on expertise in setting up servers and services.Proactive and Reactive Monitoring of Application Systems and Infrastructure.Developing highly effective automation/tools set.Improve communication skills and understand the dynamics of working in a team.Reading, understanding, and writing technical documentation.About WileyWiley is a trusted leader in research and learning, our pioneering solutions and services are paving the way for knowledge seekers as they work to solve the world's most important challenges.
