Lead Humanitarian Safety in South Sudan – Join INSO as Country DirectorSince 2011, the International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) has empowered humanitarian aid workers in some of the world’s most insecure contexts. We provide registered NGOs with real-time incident tracking, analytical reports, safety data, crisis management, staff orientations, and training, supporting over 1,350 NGOs across 22 countries. Headquartered in The Hague, INSO operates at the intersection of peace, justice, and humanitarian action. 📍 INSO South SudanINSO has been active in South Sudan since 2018, working with 141 NGO partners from our base in Juba.

We help organizations deliver aid safely by providing context analysis, advisory services, crisis management, access and safety trainings, and coordination support. ✨ As Country Director, you will: Lead and inspire a diverse team across programs, operations, HR, and finance. Translate strategy into practice in a challenging humanitarian environment. Ensure service delivery meets high-quality standards and adapts to evolving contexts. Guide senior humanitarian actors with timely, actionable analysis. Manage donor relations and produce compelling reports and proposals. 🧩 What We’re Looking For3+ years in conflict-affected contexts and NGO senior management.

Experience as a Country Director or senior Program Manager, ideally in South Sudan. Proven analytical skills and grant management experience. Strong English communication, networking, and diplomatic skills. Master’s degree or equivalent experience. ✅ Desirable: Recent South Sudan experience or similar context. Prior engagement with INSO. Crisis management expertise. Established local networks and data management interest. 💡 Key CompetenciesLeadership: Inspire, guide, and hold teams accountable.
