Internship AI-Augmented Software Engineering (m/f) 80-100% - Vibe Coding with Generative AI

We’re looking for a motivated and curious intern to help us explore new ways of building software with generative AI. In this role, you’ll experiment with AI-assisted and agentic coding approaches to take a web application from concept to implementation.This is not a toy project: While the internship will serve as a proof of concept for AI-driven software engineering, the application you build will be a real product we plan to bring to market. Your focus will be on designing requirements, refining specifications, and testing - while automating as much of the code generation as possible.You’ll work closely with a product owner, who will provide use cases and specifications, and you’ll be supported by experienced developers and AI specialists. This internship is your chance to tackle real-world software engineering challenges while working with state-of-the-art AI technologies.Your tasksExperiment with state-of-the-art AI-assisted coding workflows, using a tool such as Kiro or CursorOrchestrate AI agents to create and develop a new applicationTranslate product requirements into functional prototypes and iterate to production-ready qualityDocument insights on where AI-augmented coding accelerates (or challenges) the development processReport on effectiveness of AI agents in software engineering. (strengths/limits)Contribute to shaping our internal practices around AI-first developmentDeploy the application in a test environment Your profileEnrolled in or recently completed a BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, or EngineeringPassion for software engineering and curiosity about new technologiesA solid understanding of Large Language Models, how they work and what you can expect of themGood programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScriptFamiliarity with Angular is a plusStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to dive into complex technical topicsTeam Player with clear, proactive communicationGood knowledge of English required.
