Investment AnalystUtility Scale Owner / OperatorLondon (hybrid)Circular Resourcing have an exciting opportunity for an Investment Analyst to join a leading development platform based in London working on some of the leading utility scale renewable energy assets across the UK. With a strong operational portfolio of projects already under their ownership, recent investment into the business had given them a large fund to help continue acquiring and constructing projects in the coming years. Working within their Corporate Development team you will play a key role within this strategy, leading the commercial engagement, modelling and acquisition of new projects that will be funded and built.Responsibilities of the Investment Analyst / AssociateBuild, run and maintain financial models, including standard and ad-hoc sensitivities to support commercial negotiations and investment approval processesPrepare Information Memoranda, business plans, and financial reportsAnalyse financial, technical, and development documents to quickly assess new project opportunities Support team members in live deals, conducting research, supporting negotiations and preparing key transaction materialsManage multiple due diligence processes, including handling of project documents / VDRs, and coordination of external advisorsContribute to business development, strategy and networking activities alongside colleagues in the corporate development team and across the companyAssist in the management of the investment pipeline and prepare reporting materials on pipeline and new opportunities for senior management, shareholders and board meetingsQualifications, Skills and ExperienceMinimum of 3 years related investment experience (i.e. from advisory, funds, corporate finance, utilities/developers, banks)Strong accounting backgroundExcellent analytical and modelling skills: ability to build from scratch, run and maintain financial modelsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or StatisticsProfessional working proficiency level of English is requiredAbility to handle multiple, competing priorities and projectsStrong attention to detail and accuracyEntrepreneurial mindset, self-starter attitude, commercial acumenAbility to communicate complex concepts effectively, internally and with external partiesGeneral understanding of development process, risks, and acquisitions/valuations is desirableKnowledge of UK renewable energy market and BESS technology is desirable but not required
