At such an exciting time to be joining the organisation, there is a lot of opportunity for rapid progression in an ambitious and relatively young company which plans to continue expanding and has a strong focus on both its staff and their development.🗓 So, what will your day-to-day look like?You will work as part of the Investment Director’s team, supporting the Investment Managers and Senior Investment Analysts across several areas including but not limited to:🤝[70%] Supporting / Leading the portfolio acquisition processes that includes:In depth analysis of potential portfolio acquisitions, including understanding and applying the team’s propriety Markov Chain Monte Carlo simulation model and presenting findings back to Senior Management to support the Group’s decisioning and valuation process.Conducting on-site and remote due diligence on portfolio acquisition opportunities and support the regulatory and risk review of potential purchases.✍️[10%] Supporting in writing Investment Memorandums for board approval.🗣[5%] Engaging with clients and financial institutions to understand and obtain the required data to support each portfolios valuation.⚙️[5%] Support cross-departmental projects with Analytics and Decision Science teams to develop new and existing cashflow forecasting tools using statistical modelling to support live pricing assumptions (experience of Python, Excel and SQL a distinct advantage).📊[5%] Work with Operational/Implementation departments within the business to support and execute portfolio migration plans at the point of sale.📈[5%] Review, analyse and support the monitoring of portfolio performance post-acquisition vs expectation and presenting findings back to the Investment team.These percentages give approximate indication as to time allocation for a typical week and may vary on a day-to-day basis.👆Does this sound like you? Strong academic background within a quantitative discipline, e.g. STEM fields(s), Economics, FinanceUp to 1-2 years’ relevant work experienceComfortable working with large data sets, identifying and presenting key insightsA high degree of attention to detail with the ability to consolidate and interpret complex information from multiple sourcesStrong MS Office Excel skills, experience with Python/SQL would be advantageous.A self-motivated individual capable of using own initiative to drive improvements in business processesAmbitious, driven individual with a strong desire to pursue a career within investment management &/or corporate finance⏳ The Application TimelineA first stage video call with the internal talent acquisition team (15 minute call)A face to face or video call with the hiring manager (45 minutes- 60 minutes)Typically, the average successful applicant will be within this timeline for 2-3 weeks.
