What’s in it for you?As a valuable member of the Pension team, the Investment Back Office Senior will play a key role in managing and evaluating the €5 billion assets of the Metropolitan Life Pension Fund. This position involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of daily pension fund operations and contribute to its long-term success.Key Responsibilities:He/ She will be responsible for evaluating fund assets, preparing regulatory reports, monitoring investment limits, and ensuring that customer payments are processed accurately and on time. How you will contribute: Prepare documentation for fund assets calculation (bank statements, prices, transactions, etc);Import data in Equitas system and run fund assets calculation;Send the fund assets calculation to depositary bank and prepare all supporting reports for verification;Ensure accurate settlement of transactions;Collaborate with Front Office Investment Team and Operation Team to ensure investments and customer payments are succesfully executed;Import payments in Multicash system and ensure all transactions are correctly performed;Prepare regulatory reports, investment limit reports and any other requested reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy;Respond to inquiries from the FSA;Maintain contact with banks and ensure banking documentation is accurate and up to date (for both Pension Company and Life Insurance Company);Ensure successful implementation of new regulations affecting operational workflow;Drive process optimization and oversee project implementation;Actively support internal audits and engage in external regulatory inspections.Let’s talk about you!To become our next colleague, you’ll have to bring to the table the following:Hard SkillsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Economics);Previous working experience (minimum 2-3 years) in the pension / insurance industry and solid understanding of the pension / insurance legislation;Good level of English (medium conversational level);A very good use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Soft SkillsComfortable working in a highly regulated environment, meeting fixed deadlines, and operating under close regulatory scrutiny;High apetite for digitalization and open to work with different systems;Mindset based on performance and willingness to make a difference;Proven capability to deliver high-quality work under very strict deadlines; Strong communication skills – build long term partnership with peers and stakeholders;Passion to work with people, a collaborative mindset and strong emotional intelligence;Positive, curious and self-motivated individual, capable of working autonomously;Promote a robust risk culture, anticipate problems and propose solutions to improve processes;Highly resourceful and always maintaining ethical professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.
