Investment Banking Intern - Nairobi based

Job DescriptionThis is an internship of up to months, expected to start in January 2026. Candidates must be based in Nairobi and have access to a home office setup that supports full-time remote work.ResponsibilitiesDetailed high-level report writing around different sustainable finance topics including clean energy, debt, sustainable transport, sustainable sovereign debt, built environment and other major impact investment themesOrganising events, project management and stakeholder managementSupporting the African Hub Director with day to day responsibilitiesWorking on multiple projects and ensuring deliverables are completed before deadlinesPreparing presentations and documents in support of BwB advisory workDeveloping revenue and cost models, transactional due diligence and structuring High-level research of key data points in projects Support the design and execution of development and climate-aligned investment solutionsConduct research and analysis across health, education, energy and agriculture sectorsContribute to a fast-paced team delivering on one of Africa’s boldest finance and development initiativesSkills RequiredExcellent interpersonal and effective communication skillsPassion for sustainable development and on the role that finance can playHighly motivated with a desire to learn and develop professional competenciesAble to work independently ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and satisfy deadlines setProficient when it comes to report writing and managing timelinesTeam player willing to adapt to new challenges in a fast entrepreneurial environmentStrong financial modelling skills are desirableProficiency in English is required, mastery of a second language is highly desirableQualificationsA recent graduate, ideally with a background in Sustainable Finance, Climate Change, or International Development.Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Additional InformationThe role is fully remote, home office based. Travel may be required relating to project work.
