The position reports to the CFO of the company with a dotted line reporting to the Asia Regional CIO.This is a senior position within the company with responsibilities including coordinating the Investment Committee of the Company and presenting to both the Exco and the Board of Directors.The position will lead Strategic and Tactical Asset Allocation, optimize performance across multi asset classes, and shape the investment direction strategy and operations The position will oversee external manager selection and performance, steer cross-functional initiatives and be the key lead on investment topics.An ideal candidate would be someone who is looking to progress his / her career by stepping up into a more senior role of heading the investment and treasury function of an insurance company.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinating the investment strategy with the CFO taking into consideration asset liability management, risk appetite (i.e. Market/Credit/Liquidity risks) and solvency metrics. This includes proposing risk limits and investments limits to the CRO and CFOEnsuring that the investment function is compliant to the wider group guidelines and policiesCoordinate, lead and chair the investment committee of the companyPrepare and present investment related briefing to the Management (Exco) and the Board of DirectorsConduct due diligence and compliance onboarding process of new investments, fund managers and banksFacilitate trade placement and confirmationManage asset mandates with asset managers and performance monitoring of asset managersResponsible for maintaining and ensuring compliance of all required investment related documentations including policies, standard operating procedures and other related materials.Negotiate fees, manage agreements and accounts with custodian, banks, transfer agents, fund houses and fund settlement provider. Review fee invoices and manage funds' fee rebates if required.Work with finance and custodian to ensure prompt settlement for securities / fund trades and trades reconciliationEnsure reports / confirmation note from service providers / brokers are duly reviewedEnsure Investments complies with Allianz Group and MAS requirementsMaintaining good rapport with fund managers, custodians, banks and other (internal and external) partiesEnsuring sufficient liquidity while maximizing interest of the company's cashSupport the finance team in reporting the company's investment position as requiredQualifications And SkillsBachelor's degree with >6 years investment, investment accounting or treasury experience in an insurance companyKnowledge of diverse asset classes and ALM experience is a huge plusCFA, actuarial designation, and other advanced degree is advantageousHave extensive institutional background and possess strong expertise in portfolio construction, SAA, TAA and performance attributionExceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively and drive cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGood organizational and documentation skills are essential86545 | Asset & Investment Management | Professional | Non-Executive | Allianz Singapore | Full-Time | PermanentAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
