Teaching, research and practice - we connectYour tasksThe FHNW School of Life Sciences welcomes researchers interested in realizing their SNSF Starting Grant projects at our Institute for Chemistry and Bioanalytics, with its state-of-the-art infrastructure and collaborative work and study environment. The School of Life Sciences is renowned for its applied Life Sciences R&D and teaching, as well as for its national and international partnerships in industry and academia. The School is at the heart of the Basel Life-Sciences Cluster and provides a stimulating, interdisciplinary setting for cutting edge scientific research. In line with a strategy of strengthening our Cell Biology and Cell Engineering activities, we would be happy to host successful SNSF Starting Grant applicants and their team members at our advanced facilities. Interested applicants are therefore warmly invited to contact us to discuss their related SNSF research proposals.Your profileYou meet the eligibility criteria for an SNSF Starting Grant and want to use it to establish your own research in cell biology, cell engineering or a related areaYou have expertise and long-term interest in the field, and aim to apply these to medical research challenges such as developing relevant cellular models or treatments for diseaseYou are keen to work with scientists at the FHNW, other national and international institutions and industrial partnersYou integrate the latest technology and data science into your researchYou value engaging with students and involving them in your research projectsYou enjoy teaching BSc, MSc and PhD studentsYour ProspectsThe FHNW School of Life Sciences offers sophisticated technical, laboratory and office facilities. The school’s highly motivating working environment is enriched by joint projects with a large number of companies and institutions in Switzerland and abroad, a varied program of scientific events, and daily interaction with students in both research and teaching. SNSF Starting Grant applicants will be selected based on the compatibility of their research focus with our aims.
