DescriptionThe IP Data Analyst I will provide a full service for the trademark prosecution process or maintenance of clients' IP rights, using IP systems that have been and may occasionally be deployed. The role-holder will provide full administrative support in processing IP-related correspondence, issuing instructions to correspondent law firms, and fulfilling other duties as required ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of clients undertaken by IPSU.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate, analyze, and process incoming correspondence relating to IP matters received from Baker McKenzie offices, IP clients, and additional global law firmsIdentify key deadlines and update client records accordingly using an electronic IP management systemCreate records and co-ordinate IP matter work plans to relevant IP attorneys based on new instructions received from IP clients and Baker McKenzie managing officesUpdate global records with accurate and consistent data throughout the trademark registration, renewals, and maintenance processDocket and review actions (i.e. e-docket) relevant to the client's trademark portfolio managementProvide agents with instructions to renew trademarks promptly or to allow trademarks to lapse per clients' recommendations, including:updating trademark records based on agreed procedures and processes generating reports of registrations due for renewal for a certain period process renewal instructionsCommunicate via email with internal colleagues and global clientsProactively review operational processes, and actively recommend operational and process improvementsManage own workload by allocating work items based on the order of prioritiesPerform record-auditing of trademarks during client intake or when necessaryClosely coordinate with the specialists, and leaders on issues that may affect the clients' IP rightsParticipate in the implementation and execution of the agreed initiatives and action items in the business plan and other business improvement programsPerform other tasks and activities as may be assigned by the Management Team or leaders from time to timeSkills And ExperienceBachelor’s degree with good academic credentialsExperience working on IP matters is an advantage but not requiredGood analytical and comprehension skillsGood oral and written English communication skillsCan handle multiple tasks while maintaining great accuracy, consistency, and quality in data entry and administrative workAble to prioritize and work independently with limited supervisionA strong commitment to outstanding client serviceWorking outside normal business hours may be necessaryTeam player, with a pleasant and positive approach to a sometimes heavy workloadAble to establish and maintain an effective working relationshipAble to use MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and InternetExceptional work ethic, personal and professional integrityReports to: Supervisor, Client Operational Support TeamTravel requirements: None, unless required by IPTech PG or its clients.Position type: Center ServicesDevelopment framework: Business SupportAbout UsAt Baker McKenzie we are different in the way we think, work and behave.
