As we continue to expand our operations and adopt new digital solutions, we are seeking a part-time IT & Cyber Security Specialist to safeguard our systems, enhance performance, and ensure data protection across all departments.Job Summary:The IT & Cyber Security Specialist will be responsible for managing and securing the company’s IT infrastructure, maintaining stable network operations, and ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of company data. This role is ideal for a professional or freelancer based in Alexandria with strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to cybersecurity.Key Responsibilities:Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot company networks, systems, and servers.Ensure stable and secure internet connectivity, email systems, and shared drives.Implement and manage cybersecurity measures including firewalls, antivirus software, and endpoint protection tools.Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk evaluations.Develop, update, and enforce IT and information security policies.Monitor network logs and user activity to detect and respond to security incidents.Maintain regular data backups and ensure reliable disaster recovery procedures.Manage and secure cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.).Oversee software installations, updates, and licensing compliance.Provide day-to-day IT support to staff regarding hardware, software, and connectivity issues.Set up and manage user accounts, access permissions, and email configurations.Protect company data through encryption, secure storage, and access control.Assist in IT asset procurement, setup, and inventory tracking.Document IT processes, configurations, and incident resolutions.Keep up-to-date with cybersecurity trends, technologies, and compliance standards.Coordinate with external vendors and IT service providers when required.Support remote work setups and ensure secure connections for off-site employees.Conduct periodic internal IT audits and organize digital security awareness sessions for staff.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in IT administration and cybersecurity.Strong knowledge of network architecture, VPNs, and firewall management.Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Windows systems.Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and data protection laws.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.Strong communication abilities and attention to detail.Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a part-time capacity.
