Job Description:EUC IT Desktop Support TechnicianJob Type & Location:Onsite | 8 hours/day | 4–5 Day ProjectLocation: Burchardstraße 8, 20095 Hamburg, GermanyOverview:We are seeking a skilled and proactive EUC IT Desktop Support Technician to provide end-user and field IT infrastructure support. The selected candidate will assist users with laptop configuration and troubleshooting during deployment, ensuring a smooth transition. This is a short-term onsite engagement (approximately 10 days, starting the 24th of November) during normal business hours.Key Responsibilities:Provide hands-on IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues.Support installation and configuration of desktop applications.Perform smart-hand activities and network-related troubleshooting (LAN/WAN).Assist with laptop imaging and setup during the initial deployment phase.Maintain and replace networking/peripheral devices (monitors, routers, switches, etc.).Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP-related issues.Ensure timely closure of IT support tickets using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.Conduct preventive analysis to reduce recurring incidents.Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong communication with end users.Requirements:Technical Skills:2–3 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and end-user support.Strong understanding of Windows OS administration and basic knowledge of MAC/Linux OS.Experience in desktop/laptop/printer troubleshooting and break/fix support.Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.Capable of handling and installing hardware (up to 50 lbs).Familiarity with network cabling, firewalls, switches, and racks.Working knowledge of ITSM/ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).Certifications preferred: CompTIA A+, CCNA, or OEM vendor certifications (Dell, Lenovo, Toshiba).Non-Technical Skills:Excellent customer management and communication skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.Detail-oriented, driven, and results-focused.Flexible to adapt to project needs and schedules.
