Job Description
The primary objective is to enhance IT services for a factory transitioning to a 7-day operation.Responsibilities:Support factory's IT systems during operational hours. This includes:Acting as a technical link for all IT-related concerns.Updating and monitoring factory IT systems.Troubleshooting between database systems and applications.Managing user-facing MES and WMS systems.Daily operation and troubleshooting of networks and systems.Maintaining documentation for troubleshooting processes.Participating in various IT projects.Requirements:Experience with factory IT or similar systems as a consultant or technician.Knowledge of troubleshooting network and database systems (SQL).Familiarity with Microsoft systems and applications.Willingness to work on weekends (Saturday to Monday).Nice to Have:Basic SQL knowledge for database queries.Experience with specific MES and WMS systems (e.g., WAMAS, Lighthouse).Capability to conduct local training for staff.Other Details:Location: Rochdale, Greater Manchester.Team Structure: Small team of 3, providing cover for increasing operational demands.Contract Length: 6 months with potential extensions.Work Hours: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 0600-1800.
