Delivering measurable results.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an IT Support professional to join our dynamic team in Roodepoort, Johannesburg, South Africa. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our organization's technology infrastructure and providing exceptional technical assistance to our employees.Respond to and resolve IT-related issues and requests from employees in a timely and efficient mannerTroubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems across various platforms and devicesInstall, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripheralsProvide technical support through various channels, including phone, email, and in-personManage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rightsCollaborate with other IT team members to implement new technologies and improve systemsDocument technical solutions and maintain an up-to-date knowledge baseMonitor system performance and implement proactive measures to prevent issuesAssist in the development and implementation of IT policies and proceduresStay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related fieldProven experience in IT support or a similar roleStrong knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and LinuxProficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issuesFamiliarity with IT security best practices and data protection protocolsExperience with IT management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar systemsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication abilities, with the capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical usersCustomer-focused mindset with a friendly and patient demeanorAbility to work collaboratively in a diverse team environmentFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and technologiesKnowledge of database systems and basic networking conceptsExperience with hardware and software installation and configurationAdditional InformationWe are a 24/7 operation; the ideal candidate must be willing to work nights, onsite in Roodepoort.
