Position: IT Support TechnicianLocation: Bogotá D.C.Employment Type: Full-Time / On-siteObjective:The IT Support Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing computer hardware, assisting employees with daily technical needs, and ensuring smooth operation of all office IT systems. This role focuses on hands-on technical support—troubleshooting computers, internet connectivity, peripherals, and audiovisual equipment—to keep the workplace running efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Technical Support & TroubleshootingProvide in-person and remote support for hardware, network, and connectivity issues.Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.Set up and configure new workstations, monitors, and accessories.Support employees with internet, video conferencing, and screen/display issues.Maintain a stable network environment and coordinate with external vendors when needed.Hardware & Equipment MaintenancePerform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on IT equipment.Replace or upgrade hardware components such as RAM, SSDs, batteries, and power supplies.Manage installation and proper functioning of routers, switches, and Wi-Fi devices.Ensure all devices are properly labeled, inventoried, and in good working condition.System & Software AssistanceSupport basic software installations and updates (Windows, Office, browsers, etc.).Manage user logins, email accounts, and basic cloud access (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).Ensure office devices such as POS terminals, scanners, and projectors operate correctly.Network & SecurityMonitor local network performance and assist in troubleshooting connectivity issues.Support the configuration of VPN connections and secure remote access.Assist in implementing antivirus protection and following cybersecurity guidelines.Collaboration & DocumentationProvide friendly, reliable support to office staff and respond promptly to IT requests.Maintain updated records of equipment, repairs, and user support tickets.Suggest improvements to optimize hardware performance and reduce downtime.Required Qualifications:Technical or university degree in IT, Computer Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 2 years of experience in IT technical support, preferably in on-site roles.Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (B1–B2).Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and network basics.Hands-on experience with equipment setup, cabling, and basic network configuration.Familiarity with office IT systems such as printers, scanners, projectors, and video conferencing tools.Interpersonal Skills:Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.Patient, service-oriented, and reliable under pressure.Organized, proactive, and detail-focused.📩 How to ApplySend your resume and a portfolio of recent projects to: humanresources@qargocoffee.com
