IT Technician (1st–3rd Line Support)Location: Wolverhampton, UK (Onsite)Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PMSalary Range: £30,000 – £40,000 GBP based on experience, skill level, and certificationsAbout The RoleWe’re looking for a proactive and technically capable IT Technician to join our on-site team in Wolverhampton. This hands-on role covers 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support, ensuring our technology environment remains stable, secure, and efficient. You’ll support a wide range of systems and users while contributing to infrastructure improvements and service enhancements.PurposeTo monitor, maintain, and support our IT infrastructure while resolving incidents quickly and driving improvements in reliability, security, and user experience.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary on-site contact for all IT incidents, service requests, and escalations.Provide comprehensive support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and conferencing systems.Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and Azure AD environments.Administer Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and permissions.Configure and manage firewalls — preferably Fortinet FortiGate, though experience with other vendors (Cisco, Sophos, Palo Alto) is equally valued.Support Windows deployment, patch management, and endpoint protection.Maintain accurate documentation of systems, assets, and processes.Collaborate across teams to implement infrastructure improvements, network optimisation, and security updates.Perform preventative maintenance and contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives.RequirementsMinimum 2 years of professional experience in IT support, helpdesk, or infrastructure roles.
