Java Architect

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Contribute to the development of complex information systems and help build sustainable and secure solutions for Estonia’s e-government. Design and implement system architecture solutions in collaboration with other architects and development teams. Develop and maintain Java applications and microservices. Lead the resolution of technical issues and support junior developers. Ensure code quality through testing (unit tests, integration tests, and code reviews). Participate in service design and analytics teams in the implementation of ideas. Optimize system performance, security, and scalability. Contribute to the adoption of best practices in the development process (CI/CD, DevOps, Agile). Document architectural and technical solutions as well as development decisions. Our expectations of you: At least 3 years of experience as an information systems architect. Project experience with relational databases and high-availability (clustered) system solutions. Experience in developing and integrating REST services. Experience in creating authentication and authorization solutions based on OAuth and SAML. Practical experience in developing microservice-based architectures and machine interfaces. Experience with Kubernetes (including container management). Excellent command of Estonian and English. We value if you have: Previous experience in developing national information systems and knowledge of the principles of X-Road and the Government Cloud. Interest in applying AI solutions. Higher education in IT.
