OverviewWe are seeking a Jira Administrator. This role will configure Jira projects, workflows, fields, dashboards, and permissions—without custom scripts, plug-ins, or development work. The ideal candidate is process-oriented, attentive to detail, and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Position Details:Location: Vernon, CA (Hybrid or Remote)Type: Contract or Contract To hire possibleResponsibilitiesAdminister and maintain Jira Software and Jira Service Management using native, out-of-the-box features.Create, modify, and manage Jira workflows, schemes, fields, screens, and permissions.Develop an out-of-the-box tracking system within Jira to support project visibility, status reporting, and process adherence.Set up new Jira projects and service desks aligned with business requirements.Build and manage dashboards, filters, boards, and reports for teams and leadership.Ensure data integrity, consistent configuration standards, and best practices across Jira instances.Manage user access, roles, groups, and security settings.Partner with internal teams to gather requirements, recommend OOTB solutions, and translate needs into Jira functionality.Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide user support.Assist with Jira administration documentation, governance, and process improvements.Support integrations using approved, out-of-the-box Atlassian connectors (no coding or marketplace add-ons).Required Qualifications3+ years experience as a Jira Administrator.Strong understanding of Jira Software and/or Jira Service Management configuration.Proven experience designing workflows using native Jira capabilities (no custom scripting or marketplace apps).Experience with Jira schemes (issue types, field schemes, screens, permissions, notifications).Ability to translate business processes into simple, efficient Jira configuration.Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
