The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of facility maintenance to ensure a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role demands a professional who brings a combination of strategic thinking, leadership, and hands-on practicality, with a strong background in facility maintenance. The Permanent Facilities Coordinator must be able to work effectively with staff at all levels and be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

ResponsibilitiesThe Permanent Facilities Coordinator will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to Oversee and coordinate all maintenance and repair activities within the facility, including building systems, grounds, and equipment. Develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance programs to maximize the lifespan and efficiency of facility resources. Collaborate with management and staff to identify facility needs and develop solutions. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facility maintenance and safety. Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts, overseeing work, and ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Prepare and manage the annual facilities budget.

Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively, coordinating resources and personnel as needed. Implement and maintain a robust inventory management system for all maintenance supplies and equipment. Facilitate regular facility inspections and audits to identify potential issues and ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all users. Coordinate with relevant departments for any renovation or construction projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. QualificationsThe ideal candidate for the Permanent Facilities Coordinator position will possess the following qualifications A minimum of 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably within the healthcare industry.

Demonstrated knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and act tactically. Proficient in using computer systems for tasks such as project management and inventory control. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex issues to a variety of audiences. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to facility maintenance and safety. Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Bachelor's degree in facility management, engineering, or a related field is preferred. Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or similar are a plus. Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
