The Co-op term is 12 months, full time requirement (40 hours per week).

PurposeReporting to a Planning Manager, the Planning Co-Op is responsible for generating business reports to support core team responsibilities, perform data compilation and analysis, attend business meetings, and provide support to basic business processes, as requested. You Will Be Responsible ForUnder direct supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position: Responsible for accurately and timely collecting, analyzing, consolidating, and reporting relevant data for the planning team. Prepares dashboards and ensures they are accurate on a timely manner.

Creates and develops new tools to improve the efficiency of the existing planning processes. Participates and collaborates in the preparation of presentation decks. Connects and networks with the internal and external teams daily. May be responsible for a planning segment within the business. Makes recommended adjustments to the models and parameters. Looks for new ways to achieve better statistical forecasting performance. Provides required support and training for Planning Analysts, as required. Covers other Planning Analysts, ad hoc, when the business requires it. Follows EES policies and procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility.

Completes training in areas of responsibility within allowed time-period. Completes required periodic re-training in areas such as safety & environmental. Follows all company safety policies & other safety precautions within work area. Qualifications / RequirementsCompletion of Undergraduate Freshman year at accredited University is required. Be enrolled into a bachelor’s degree program majoring in Engineering. Minimum GPA of 2. 8 is required. No Prior work experience is required, but current education or extracurricular activity experiences should demonstrate capabilities meet required skills set. Ability to enter data on spread sheet and database applications. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse team.

Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers. Analytical problem-solving skills, project, creative capacity & technical skills. Able to take direction well, set priorities and achieve results. Proven ability to quickly learn and apply complex applications. Good written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal abilities. Ability to learn basic business concepts in assigned area. Ability to learn and apply advance planning systems and capabilities. Customer focused business judgement. Able to see opportunities for improvement in existing processes and take initiative. Working knowledge of general office protocols, procedures & equipment – PC, copier, fax. Math, including Algebra and statistics (preferred).

Applied principles of research, concept generation, presentation, synthesis. Ability to apply leadership to successfully achieve project, team and individual goals. Ability to share knowledge and personal experience with peers. Coach others when appropriate. Ability to build strong collaborative relationships, considering diverse perspectives and styles. Ability to target their communications as appropriate for the audience and make presentations to a small to medium sized audience. Has knowledge of statistics, machine learning, data mining and predictive analytics. Proficient in MS office programs: Word, Excel, Power Point, Project Planning, E-mail, Flow Charts and management of database tools.
