Jr. Packaging Designer

We are seeking a key talent for a leading global provider ofsustainable packaging solutions. This company is delivering forward-thinking paper-based packaging designs to theconsumer goods industry by integrating global resources with local innovation. During this strategic expansion phase, we need a packaging structure designer with a strong technical background and innovative thinking. As a member of the core design team for the Asia Pacific region, you will lead the structural development and performance optimization of new multi-piece beverage packaging, ensure products meet sustainability standards through rigorous testing processes, and participate in driving industry-influential patent innovations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Innovative Packaging Solutions: Lead the design and development of paper-based packaging for beverage multi-packs, including six-can beer packaging, ensuring optimal functionality, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.Drive Continuous Improvement: Spearhead the improvement and refinement of existing packaging structures, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our customers while enhancing product durability and performance.Collaborate Across Global Teams: Work closely with the global team to share insights, exchange innovative ideas, and manage the development of new packaging solutions. You will coordinate with international designers, primarily in China, to ensure design consistency and quality.Customer-Centric Design: Design and create packaging mockups for client proposals, working directly with sales teams to deliver customized solutions and provide technical support during client meetings.Ensure Quality and Compliance: Conduct strength and durability testing on newly designed packaging to ensure it meets industry standards and client specifications.Foster Strong Client Relationships: Regularly engage with clients and collaborate with the sales team to present new packaging solutions, respond to market demands, and provide tailored solutions for their specific needs.Global Knowledge Sharing: Participate in international training sessions in France and China, staying at the forefront of global packaging trends and technologies.Innovation and Intellectual Property: Manage the development of packaging patents, ensuring we stay ahead in the industry with unique, market-leading solutions.Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with sales, manufacturing, and technical departments to ensure seamless execution of packaging solutions, from design to production.Sustainability Initiatives: Drive innovation in sustainable packaging design, collaborating with internal teams to meet environmental goals and contribute to our commitment to sustainabilityQualificationsOver 5 years of experience in packaging structure design, product development, or a related technical role, preferably within the paper and packaging industry.Technical expertise, analytical skills, and understanding of packaging materials and production processes.Experience in developing innovative packaging solutions that meet client needs and business goals.Interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills; able to work effectively in a matrix and multicultural global environment.Both written and verbal communication skills (intermediate level) in English with the APAC team.
