Job Description Position Overview Ascot Group Limited is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our financial reporting team. This role supports the Financial Reporting Manager with the preparation of interim and annual U.S. GAAP financial statements, Bermuda regulatory and management reporting, technical accounting analysis, maintenance of internal controls, and finance transformation projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles and a keen eye for detail, capable of supporting the financial reporting processes and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial records. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills, gain practical experience, and grow with the organization.Key Responsibilities Assist in preparing interim and annual U.S. GAAP financial statements and Bermuda regulatory filings. Assist in preparing quarterly management reporting deliverables, including preparation of variance analyses, and addressing ad hoc data requests. Collaborate with other teams and functions to compile financial information and prepare supporting workpapers. Assist with the preparation of technical accounting memos for new transactions. Ensure compliance with established internal controls. Provide documentation and explanations during internal and external audits. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and assist in their application to financial reporting processes. Contribute to ad hoc projects focused on process improvement and automation. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Accounting, Finance) preferred but not required. Experience: Internship or prior experience in accounting roles is preferred but not required. Technical Skills: must have an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; experience with U.S. GAAP accounting standards preferred but not required. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team. Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Attributes Enthusiasm for accounting and eagerness to learn new skills.
