Dredging International Egypt, a multinational maritime engineering company, is looking for a Junior Accountant in Cairo.As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance department by maintaining financial records with attention to detail and accuracy.If you are a motivated individual with a passion for numbers and you have a desire to grow your career in accounting, Dredging International Egypt offers a dynamic and supportive work environment where you can develop your skills and contribute to the success of our organization.Your responsibilitiesRecord day-to-day financial transactions (e.g. work advances, expenses, purchases);Process accounts payable invoices, receipts, and payments;Match purchase orders, invoices, and payment records;Reconcile bank statements, petty cash & vendor balances;Prepare general ledger entries;Assist senior accountants during quarterly and year-end closings;Support external audits by providing required information;Finance Mailbox -> communicate with suppliers, colleagues & bank front office;Collaborate with other departments to gather and provide financial information;Identify and report accounting discrepancies or irregularities;Maintain proper filing of financial documents (digital and physical)Your profileUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, such as internships or part-time positions, is desirable;Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel;Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail;Excellent organizational and time management abilities;Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;Proactive and self-motivated attitude with willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges;Integrity and commitment to maintain confidentiality in handling financial informationOur offerAn extensive mobility program for a healthy work-life balance.A permanent training track which allows you to develop yourself personally and professionally.A stimulating, innovative workplace with numerous growth opportunities.A people-oriented environment with an interactive health program and a focus on employee wellbeing
