Job Description
Grad/Junior Business AnalystA global hospitality and catering group is seeking a Business Analyst to support its International Events division. This role focuses on planning, coordinating, and improving the people management and scheduling processes for major international events – including Formula 1 hospitality and other high-profile occasions.The roleReporting to the IT Service Delivery Team, you’ll be responsible for coordinating staff scheduling using Planday, ensuring accurate setup before events, smooth operation during, and efficient reporting afterward. You’ll also identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency across the international events function.Key responsibilitiesBefore events:Configure departments, time zones, and geofencing within Planday.Coordinate staffing data with Crew Control 1–2 weeks prior to each event.Set up new users and permissions, and ensure all staff have access to Planday.Prepare tablets and systems for on-site use.During events:Maintain and monitor tablet systems in staff areas, ensuring connectivity and access.Update scheduling and track shift approvals.Support managers and staff with Planday usage and troubleshooting.Generate daily attendance and usage reports.After events:Review shift data with team leads and update records.Identify and report any system or compliance issues.Compile event performance reports and lessons learned.Apply business analysis techniques to refine event processes.RequirementsStrong attention to detail and analytical mindset.Excellent communication and coordination skills.Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure event environments.Basic IT literacy with the ability to troubleshoot scheduling or device issues.Experience with event planning or scheduling tools (e.g. Planday) advantageous.Flexibility to work weekends and travel internationally as required.QualificationsGCSEs, A-Levels, or equivalent; further education in Business, Management, Events, or IT preferred.What’s on offerApprox. £26,000 per year (fixed-term contract)On-site meals and employee referral schemeTraining and development opportunitiesGenuine career progression across global operationsWork at the heart of one of the world’s most prestigious event hospitality teamsAbout the companyThe business delivers premium hospitality experiences for global clients, including world-class airline catering and luxury event services.
