Position Title: Junior Designer/ArtworkerContract Type: PermanentLocation: Frome SomersetWorking Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8.30AM–5PMSalary: £23,000 per annumRole summaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Designer/Artworker to join our team on a permanent, office-based basis. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for design and retouching, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to multitask. You will support the creative team with design projects and artwork production, while assisting with administrative tasks to ensure everything runs smoothly.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to learn, enthusiastic, and ready to grow their career in design while developing key organisational and teamwork skills.ResponsibilitiesCreate animated digital assets for social media, emails, and marketing campaignsDesign assets for online promotions, recruitment, inserts, and flyersContribute ideas for marketing campaignsAssist with book edits for catalogues and bouncebacksRetouch and colour-match raw images from photoshootsMaintain the image library, including labelling, processing, and organising all imagesEnsure all photography files are named correctlyBatch-process and file imagesUpload and manage product imagery on the Cox & Cox website and press image libraryAdjust aspect ratios and batch imagery for marketplace sitesRespond to design briefs for new productsRename, check, and edit cutoutsHandle press image requestsDesign and maintain graphics and imagery for website banners, the Style Notes blog, emails, social media, and paid social contentEnsure consistency with brand guidelines and house styleLiaise with printers and external suppliersSkills & ExperienceA degree and/or equivalent in-house or agency experience in a similar artworking roleExcellent Photoshop skills, including image retouching and manipulationA strong portfolio showcasing print and digital artwork across various customer touchpoints, including image retouching, creative digital assets, and web bannersMeticulous attention to detail with the ability to produce beautiful artwork under tight deadlines, while staying calm and focusedStrong written and verbal communication skillsA positive, proactive, and collaborative attitudeUnderstanding of After Effects and video is a plusStrong time management skills and the ability to handle a varied workloadEnvironmentWork as part of an in-house design teamPrepared to work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to adapt to changeSelf-starter with good use of initiative and motivated to deliver resultsA keen interest in homewares and interior designBenefitsBe part of an exciting, growing and progressive company where thoughts and opinions are listened to37.5 hour working week Monday - Friday 8.30 - 5pm with one hour for lunchGenerous staff discounts25 days annual leave per year + bank holidaysBonus birthday day offPension schemePrivate health care schemePlease include your portfolio with your application.
