The National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) is the labour union for the professional hockey players in the National Hockey League. Established in 1967, and with headquarters in Toronto, the NHLPA’s principal role is to represent the players of the National Hockey League and to guarantee that their rights as players are upheld under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. The NHLPA has a current permanent opportunity for a Junior Graphic Designer at its downtown Toronto location. This role will support the development of print campaigns, social media content, and a wide range of other creative assets. Working closely with both the creative and digital teams, the ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and skilled in color retouching and close cropping. A strong sense of visual composition, familiarity with current design trends, and enthusiasm for producing work that connects with the NHLPA’s audience are key. A genuine passion for sports design and creating dynamic, engaging visuals will be a major asset. Job Duties:Design and production of print and digital campaigns to promote NHL players and NHLPA initiatives.Design support with layout adjustments, design revisions, and resizing for multiple platforms.Precise color retouching, image cropping, and file preparation to ensure high-quality assets.Organize and catalog design assets, maintaining a library of graphic resources for efficient workflow.Take creative feedback from senior management and incorporate it effectively to align with project goals and brand guidelines. Qualifications & Skills Required:1-2 years of professional experience in graphic design preferred.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).Knowledgeable in color theory, color retouching, and close cropping techniques.Versatile in creative styles, with a strong grasp of current trends in design and sports media.Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.Self-motivated and detail oriented.Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of the hockey/NHL landscape is an asset. All interested applicants can submit their resumes to adimaras@nhlpa.com.No agencies please.NHLPA is an equal opportunity employer.
